A man has been arrested in connection with the alleged stabbing incident in Daventry

A 44-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to commit grievous bodily harm following an incident in The Severn at the weekend. George McQuillan, of The Medway on the Grange in Daventry, was arrested yesterday, Thursday August 4, in connection with an assault that took place at about 10.40pm on Saturday, July 30.
A 25-year-old man was injured in the incident and was taken to hospital with serious injuries. McQuillan will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court this morning.

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being attacked in Daventry on Saturday
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in The Severn, Daventry, at about 10.40pm on Saturday July 30. The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries but a police spokesman said he is in a stable condition.
An investigation into the attack, which is believed to be an isolated incident, is under way and officers are appealing for anyone who may have any information about what happened or has concerns following the incident to contact them on 101.
